Thank you for choosing North Jefferson Academy of Dance (NJAD). We are excited to start a new dance season and cannot wait to have your dancers with us. We will nurture their love for dance in a caring, conservative, Christian environment. All of our instructors are qualified beyond simply having taken dance and have a special love for young people and the art of dance. Bios on each teacher can be found on the Instructors page. Our studios all have top-grade, sprung dance floors for the safety of your dancer. A class schedule is available on the Schedule page.

How to Register

REGISTRATION PROCESS:

Registration is exclusively online through our Parent Portal. Complete the online registration form in the Parent Portal. This form will also include class selection. Returning students will need to login to the Parent Portal. You will have to manually update your dancer’s age and grade before you can begin class selection. Failure to do so will result in an error message regarding eligibility. New students will need to create an account.

REGISTRATION FEE PAYMENT

A non-refundable registration fee of $55 per student is required to complete enrollment and reserve your dancer’s place in all registered classes, as classes fill quickly. We are excited to now accept payments through the Parent Portal. Registration is not complete until the fee has been paid through the Parent Portal, and students cannot enroll in classes until payment is received online through the Parent Portal. We no longer accept registration fee payments through PayPal. Students who participated in the full 2025–2026 dance season and/or Summer 2026 at NJAD are guaranteed enrollment in an age-appropriate class through July 19 with payment of the registration fee. Open enrollment for new students begins July 20.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

Browser Note: We recommend completing registration on a desktop or laptop computer. If following link through Facebook, please select to open link in your web browser, as Facebook will not allow class selection window to pop up.

Parent Portal Manual Update: Before registering, please update your child’s age and current grade in the Parent Portal. If this information is not up to date, the correct classes may not appear as available options during registration. If you experience any registration issues, this will be the first thing we ask you to check, so updating it beforehand can help prevent delays and ensure a smoother registration process.

Tuition Note: Upon registration, all you owe is a $55 registration fee per dancer. Monthly/yearly tuition information can be found in the registration packet below.

Changes for the 2026–2027 Season: We have made several updates to our policies and payment procedures for the 2026–2027 dance season. It is your responsibility to review the information on this website and in the Registration Packet below. Each family is required to pay the $55 registration fee (per dancer) through the Parent Portal. The credit or debit card used to pay the registration fee will be securely stored and used for automatic monthly tuition payments, as well as recital fee(s) due on October 15. Any credit or debit card processing fees charged through the Parent Portal are the responsibility of the family or cardholder. There is a 3% surcharge when using Visa, Mastercard, or Discover. Additional information about these changes is available on the Policies page and in the Registration Packet below.

Class Minimum Enrollment Policy: Classes require a minimum of six enrolled students to remain on the schedule. If a class has five or fewer students enrolled, the class may be canceled or combined with another class at the studio’s discretion.

Age and Grade Placement Eligibility: Student age, grade placement, and eligibility are determined according to the enrollment and age requirements of the local public school system (Jefferson County Schools/JEFCOED), not homeschool grade placement. Students will be placed based on their birthdate and the grade level they would be assigned in the local public school system. The studio also reserves the right to place or recommend a student in a different class when experience, technical ability, or skill level indicates that an alternate placement would provide the best learning environment.

Policy Acknowledgment: By registering, you acknowledge that you have reviewed the information and policies contained in this packet and on this website and agree to abide by them.
