INSTRUCTOR BIO: MISS EMILY R.

“After attending a few high school football games as an elementary school student, I was inspired by my school’s marching band and majorette line. I instantly knew that I wanted to learn how to twirl baton.
I began twirling at age 12 and became a feature twirler for Locust Fork High School’s marching band. During this time, I won superior ratings and best in class at competitions. I also started my journey as a competitive twirler outside of marching band. I remained the feature twirler at my high school until I graduated in 2023.
I received a scholarship to twirl at Samford University for my Freshman year. I am still currently a student at Samford University studying for a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Science.
I am so excited to teach and inspire other young girls who have an interest in twirling. I cannot wait to use this blessing of an opportunity to share my love and passion for this sport with others!”
This is Miss Emily R.’s second season with NJAD.
